How Our 2025 Wrapped Campaign Turns Your Year in Listening Into a Global Celebration

Spotify Wrapped celebrates the audio that defined our year, and the annual global marketing campaign that accompanies it has become a cultural moment in its own right. For 2025, the campaign is a bold, dynamic experience that brings the story of your year in listening into the real world.

“2025 Wrapped is our most action-packed release yet,” said Marc Hazan, Spotify’s Senior Vice President of Global Marketing & Partnerships. “We’re bringing back the fan-favorite features you know and love, and adding bold new experiences that spotlight the way you listened this year. And for the first time ever, meet Wrapped Party, your chance to dive into Wrapped with friends and family and relive the moments that defined your year. Plus, we’re rolling out 50 fan destinations worldwide, giving listeners a place to come together, celebrate their year in music, and be part of something truly global.”

From the design inspiration to massive real-world installations, here’s a look at how the 2025 Wrapped campaign comes to life.

The design: A modern ‘visual mixtape’

Before streaming, mixtapes and burned CDs were the original playlists: handpicked, decorated, and shared as deeply personal gifts. The 2025 Wrapped design builds on that tradition, turning a year of listening into a bold, dynamic “visual mixtape” for more than 700 million fans around the world.

“For me, 2025 Wrapped captures that tension between chaos and clarity,” said Jeremy Wirth, Spotify’s Global Executive Creative Director. “Every gradient and texture reflects that unpredictable mix of emotion and rhythm that makes listening so personal. It’s our most expressive Wrapped yet, and I love that it feels stripped down with the reduced color palette and bold use of images to feel simple and super modern.”

Layered with texture and mixing analog and digital aesthetics, the design captures the spontaneous, authentic energy of music fandom in a way only Spotify can. As part of this, we’re also bringing back our special Wrapped-edition logos. For this campaign, we put a creative spin on our brand guidelines, reimagining the Spotify logo in the spirit of the year’s most popular songs and artists. Try to identify any of those below.

Barça Is Back: The New Spotify Camp Nou Opens Its Gates

After more than two years of redevelopment, FC Barcelona returned to its spiritual home on November 22, hosting Athletic Club in the first La Liga match at the reimagined Spotify Camp Nou (and winning the game 4-0). It marked the beginning of a bold new chapter for one of football’s most iconic venues and for Spotify’s ongoing collaboration with the club.

Since 1957, Camp Nou has been a global destination for football fans and a symbol of FC Barcelona’s identity. With its reopening, Spotify Camp Nou emerges not just as a stadium but as a modern stage where football and entertainment converge.

Marc Hazan, Spotify’s Senior Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships, said, “As fans return and the next phase of Spotify Camp Nou’s evolution begins, we’re excited to help shape a new era where music and sport will come together like never before.”

The redesigned stadium is the centerpiece of Espai Barça, FC Barcelona’s ambitious modernization of its facilities and reimagination of the fan experience. Designed by Japanese architecture studio Nikken Sekkei, the updated stadium will eventually hold nearly 105,000 fans. For now, it reopens at a partial capacity of nearly 46,000.

With Spotify’s name on the stadium through 2034, the collaboration continues to deepen. Music and storytelling are being woven into the matchday experience and the broader life of the stadium, creating new ways for fans to connect with the game and with the artists they love.

“It is very exciting to return to our home and see all our members and fans enjoying a matchday,” said Manel del Río, General Manager at FC Barcelona. “After two years away, we come back to a completely new stadium that aims to become a benchmark facility in the world of sports and entertainment, generating new revenue and creating revolutionary experiences for everyone.”

The agreement spans the men’s and women’s first teams and includes front-of-training-kit branding, while the Spotify Camp Nou naming rights remain in place through 2034.

Since launching in 2022, the partnership has delivered unforgettable moments, from artist
jerseys to fan activations, blending music and football in ways that resonate globally. This extension reflects a shared commitment to shaping the modern fan experience and pushing the boundaries of what a club-platform partnership can be.

Spotify and FC Barcelona Bring K-Pop to the Game with ITZY in Korea

Since we announced our global partnership with FC Barcelona in 2022, we’ve been finding new ways to unite the worlds of music and football—amplifying artists, connecting fans, and making the matchday experience even more memorable.

This summer, we brought that vision to life in South Korea for the very first time. As part of FC Barcelona’s 2025 Asia Tour, we teamed up with K-Pop sensation ITZY for a localized campaign that put Korean creativity front and center.

With friendly matches in Seoul and Daegu as the backdrop, our first Korea activation under the Spotify x FC Barcelona partnership gave us the perfect opportunity to celebrate the passion of Korean fans through music and sport.

ITZY-curated playlists

We invited ITZY to take over Barça on Tour: Korea 2025, curating 30 tracks—including 10 of their own and 20 warm-up picks—to get fans hyped for kickoff. The playlist is available globally on Spotify, with ITZY on the cover sporting official FC Barcelona jerseys.

To keep the momentum going, they’re also taking over WOR K OUT—Korea’s No. 1 workout playlist on Spotify, with more than 1.3M followers—starting August 9. It’s packed with their favorite tracks to keep post-game energy high.

Matchday moments

To amplify the spirit of the occasion, Spotify and FC Barcelona produced exclusive content featuring a special meet-and-greet between ITZY and Barça players at Seoul World Cup Stadium. The interactive footage was shared across socials, bringing fans even closer to this unique moment.

Pitch-side presence

During the Seoul match, fans saw Spotify branding across LED boards, goal-line signage, and press backdrops, and they’ll be seeing more of it in Daegu. We also took over one of Seoul’s most iconic digital displays, Gangnam Media Sync, to share the campaign with the city.

From jersey takeovers with global superstars like Travis Scott, Coldplay, KAROL G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA, and Drake to localized cultural campaigns like this one with ITZY, our partnership with FC Barcelona continues to turn football into a creative canvas that celebrates artists and the fans who love them.

Watch Travis Scott’s Historic Barcelona Concert Exclusively on Spotify

Last month, Spotify brought Travis Scott to Barcelona to play his first-ever show in the city and celebrate the release of his Spotify x Cactus Jack x Barça jersey. Held on the eve of FC Barcelona’s El Clásico victory (which saw the team sporting the limited-edition shirt), the show was a lively affair featuring performances of two unreleased tracks from the global icon’s upcoming album, JACKBOYS 2

Now we’re making that performance available for the world with an exclusive premiere on Spotify. 

Taking place at Barcelona’s iconic Tres Xemeneies, Spotify Presents: Travis Scott Live From Barcelona is a high-intensity experience that captures Travis taking fans through classic hits including “FE!N,” “4×4,” “SICKO MODE,” and “goosebumps,” and the aforementioned JACKBOYS 2 tracks “Dumb” and “Kick Out.”

“This film is a piece of the energy we created in Barcelona,” said Travis. “The fans showed up for my first performance there and it was a wild, real moment. Now fans around the world can tap in and feel that same vibe.” 

 

Travis Scott Electrifies Barcelona With Exclusive Live Show and El Clásico Appearance

Spotify and FC Barcelona’s partnership saw its sixth jersey takeover this weekend with one of the world’s biggest artists: Travis Scott

In the lead-up, fans were buzzing for the global music icon to touch down in Barcelona after it was revealed that Spotify would bring Travis to the stage for an exclusive performance. And the rapper didn’t disappoint, embarking on a whirlwind tour through the city, captivating thousands of fans onstage and showing support for the FC Barcelona men’s squad during El Clásico.

Cactus Jack makes history in Barcelona

Ahead of the big concert, hundreds of Travis Scott and FC Barcelona fans were waiting outside of the Barça Store at Spotify Camp Nou on Friday to be the first to get their hands on Spotify x Cactus Jack x  Barça merchandise. With dozens of the most dedicated fans standing in line all night, the merchandise sold out within hours. 

FC Barcelona Star Jules Kounde Reveals His Favorite Rap Anthems on the Latest Edition of Barça Matchday

Ever since Spotify and FC Barcelona forged a first-of-its kind partnership three years ago, we’ve worked to bring the worlds of music and sport together through special El Clásico shirts, preseason tours, and in-stadium artist spotlights. That includes the Barça Matchday playlists, which offer a glimpse into the sounds that motivate and inspire stars from the men’s and women’s teams as they get ready to step on the pitch. 

Now, Jules Kounde is taking the aux for the latest edition of Barça Matchday on Spotify. Kounde’s playlist takes fans on a world tour of hip-hop—from New York’s JAY-Z to Paris’ Dinos to Manchester’s Nemzzz and LA’s Kendrick Lamar—with some chilled-out R&B mixed in for good measure. (JSYK: Kounde is also a certified Kendrick superfan, with his 2024 Wrapped revealing him to be in the top 1% of K.Dot listeners worldwide.)  

“Music is a huge passion of mine and my Matchday playlist on Spotify is an example of what I listen to when I need to motivate myself and to chill,” Kounde said. “I love hip-hop from around the world and I think my playlist shows it!”

Coldplay Unites With Spotify and FC Barcelona To Release a Special El Clásico Shirt, Merch Collection, and Matchday Playlist

Spotify is once again collaborating with record-breaking legends from the worlds of music and football, through its first-of-its-kind partnership with FC Barcelona. This time, the Barça shirt will feature a special Coldplay logo inspired by its tenth album, Moon Music, which debuted at Number 1 on Spotify’s weekly global charts and is out now.

The shirt will be worn during FC Barcelona’s El Clásico match on October 26, as well as FC Barcelona Femení’s match on November 2. Coldplay is the latest artist to be featured on the iconic FC Barcelona jersey with Spotify, following previous shirt takeovers with KAROL G, The Rolling Stones, ROSALÍA, and Drake.

We’re honored that Spotify has chosen to feature our ‘Moon Music’ design on the shirt of FC Barcelona,” the members of Coldplay said in a written statement. “We’ve had a special relationship with the city and the club for many years.”

RADAR Artists Give FC Barcelona an Assist With Their Matchday Takeover

Through our first-of-its kind partnership, Spotify and FC Barcelona are committed to uniting the worlds of music and sport. And when the Barça men’s squad recently stepped onto the pitch for a showdown with Getafe CF, RADAR, Spotify’s global emerging artist program, was ready for a matchday takeover. 

To celebrate, we hosted a roster of our RADAR alumni from around the globe to connect with one another and celebrate their artist journeys. Rising artists including centromilacare, Jolagreen23, Charlie USG, Delilah, Joaquina, and THAI of the T-Pop boy band BUS were in attendance.

Our six-person squad represents the promising talent coming out of Italy, France, Spain, Mexico, Venezuela, and Thailand while spanning genres like pop, rap, alternative/indie and Música Mexicana.

At the match, our RADAR artists had the opportunity to step onto the pitch and experience the stadium atmosphere, see their names up on the stadium LED boards, and support the team. In addition, they were featured in the RADAR takeover of the Barça Matchday playlist that gets FC Barcelona fans hyped up before every kickoff whistle.

Inside Spotify’s Partnership With UK Rapper Dave’s Annual Football Tournament, Santan Cup

On and off the pitch, Spotify celebrates the culture around football. Since 2022, we’ve worked closely with FC Barcelona to bring the worlds of music and sport together with artist collaborations, matchday playlists, studio visits, and much more. And last week, we teamed up with U.K. rap phenomenon Dave for the seventh edition of his Santan Cup, an annual cultural highlight on the football calendar.

Over the years, the tournament has attracted some of the most influential names in music, including Jack Harlow and Stormzy. This year was no different, with rapper Tiakola, singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy, and designer KidSuper captaining their own squads.

Leading up to the event, Spotify teased the Santan Cup with pitchside advertising at FC Barcelona’s La Liga match against Getafe. Then the tournament took over St. George’s Park, the official home of English football, where teams donned exclusive Spotify-branded training kits to get match-ready.

KAROL G Teams Up With Spotify and FC Barcelona To Release Special Matchday Shirts, Merchandise Collection, and Matchday Playlist

Spotify is once again bringing together record-breaking legends from the worlds of music and football. This time, with KAROL G, the most-streamed female Latin music artist globally four years in a row on Spotify.

FC Barcelona Femení will be the first to wear KAROL G’s special matchday shirt—which features the artist’s signature barbed wire heart logo—when it faces off against Villarreal Femenino on April 13. The following weekend, the men’s team will also wear the shirt for its El Clásico showdown on April 21. 

 

Start a Jam With an Assist From Your Favorite FC Barcelona Player

In September we unveiled Jam, giving music fans a new, personalized way to listen with friends and family. This collaborative experience lets Premium subscribers invite their whole squad to queue up songs together, and then enhance that experience with tailored group recommendations from Spotify.  

But we haven’t stopped the party there. Premium subscribers can now start Jam sessions from their mobile devices with an assist from their favorite FC Barcelona players.
