2025 Wrapped Is Here With More Layers, Stories, and Connection Than Ever Before

The wait is over. It’s time to look back at the audio that defined your year with 2025 Spotify Wrapped, our annual celebration for fans, artists, creators, and authors around the world. Spotify introduced the Wrapped concept as it’s known today in 2015, and each year we’ve continued to iterate on how we bring it to life based on what our global audience tells us is most meaningful to them.

For 2025, the experience is more captivating, layered, and revealing than ever before. We’re going bigger and bolder, bringing back a few Wrapped favorites, adding in stories that users have been asking for, and introducing interactive ways to connect with and share the sounds that made your year unmistakably yours.

How to access your 2025 Wrapped

To get a personalized Wrapped experience, you need to have streamed at least 30 songs for more than 30 seconds each, and listened to at least five different artists this year. Streams from Private Mode or from songs or playlists you’ve excluded from your Taste Profile don’t count toward eligibility.

Ready to dive in? The experience is available for both Free and Premium users in nearly all markets where Spotify is live. You can find your Wrapped in the Spotify mobile app (iOS and Android). Just make sure your app is up-to-date and look for the Wrapped feed at the top of your Home screen or search “2025 Wrapped.”

Inside the 2025 Wrapped experience

This year, we’ve kept the Wrapped classics you love and added nearly a dozen new and updated ways to dig deeper into the voices and stories that shaped your year. We’re also bringing fans together with interactive features that transform your listening data into playful, shareable moments, and we’ve added new controls that let you adjust the speed of your experience and revisit specific moments without starting from the beginning.

Listeners Worldwide Crown Bad Bunny Global Top Artist for the Fourth Time and His Latest Release Takes Global Top Album

For the fourth time, Bad Bunny is the most-streamed Wrapped artist on Spotify globally, with 19.8 billion streams this year. This isn’t an editorial choice, but one earned entirely by listeners. Wrapped reflects our users’ listening habits, and every stream, playlist addition, and fan moment contributes to this year-end recognition. With this achievement, Bad Bunny becomes the first artist ever to claim the top spot four times.

Bad Bunny’s latest release, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos, is also this year’s Global Top Album, underscoring the worldwide embrace this year of Puerto Rico’s vibrant culture and music.

How we got here

Bad Bunny first claimed the global top spot in 2020 and repeated the feat in 2021 and 2022. Taylor Swift took the crown in 2023 and 2024. This year, after the release of a culturally defining album, Bad Bunny is back at number one globally.

In 2022, we celebrated the Bunny three-peat by presenting him with a ring for each year he was Global Top Artist. This year we continued that tradition by giving him a fourth ring during a tour stop in the Dominican Republic.

4 Reasons Why Keeping Your Spotify App Updated Matters and What You Might Be Missing

It’s easy to ignore those little red “update available” badges. But when it comes to Spotify, staying current means unlocking the newest features, performance improvements, and seamless access to your favorite playlists, podcasts, and moments (like Wrapped).

Here are four reasons why keeping your Spotify app updated should be part of your regular routine.

1. Get our latest features as they drop

Spotify continuously rolls out new features to make your listening more personalized, more social, and more seamless. In 2025, updates have included:

    • Lossless: Hear every detail of your favorite music in our highest audio quality yet.
    • Mixing Tools: Add track-to-track transitions in your playlists.
    • Exclude from Taste Profile: Play what you love without affecting recommendations.
    • DJ: Make requests to your super-personalized DJ (in English and Spanish) to play songs that fit the vibe.
    • Messages: Send and receive song shares and reactions right in the app.

Skip your FOMO. Without the latest version, you could be missing out on features that make Spotify smarter and more fun to use.

2. Stay connected across all of your devices

Spotify integrates with everything from your smart speaker to your smartwatch, and keeping your app updated ensures those connections stay smooth. Whether you’re queuing up a playlist in your car or linking Spotify to your fitness tracker, the latest version guarantees compatibility across the latest OS versions and partner platforms.

Pro tip: Some updates improve how Spotify works with other apps, like Instagram and TikTok.

3. Everything just works better

Updates help keep Spotify feeling fresh and fast. You’ll notice smoother scrolling, quicker starts, and more reliable playback, so your playlists, podcasts, and mixes keep up with you wherever you’re listening.

4. Be Wrapped ready (and set for other big moments)

When Wrapped hits, you want to be first in. An outdated app can delay your big reveal. Update ahead of time and you’ll be ready to jump right into your year in listening with no refreshing required.

The same goes for other big rollouts, like new home page designs, exclusive content drops, or UI refreshes. Updating ensures you’re always in the loop.

Have we convinced you yet? Updating your app is easy:

    1. Visit the Apple App Store if you have an iPhone or the Google Play Store if you have an Android.
    2. Search for your Spotify app.
    3. Once it appears, you will see whether you have the latest version or be given the option to hit the “Update” button.

You can also enable automatic updates in your device settings to always stay up-to-date without lifting a finger.

One small step, one better listening experience

So you see, making a few taps to update your app can make a big difference. From fresh features to better stability to being first in line for the next big thing, staying current ensures your Spotify experience is always at its best. Are you ready? Check out your Spotify app and make sure it’s up-to-date. Don’t worry, we’ll wait.
