Search and Follow Your Favorite Venues on Spotify

In March, we launched Concerts Near You to help listeners find concerts from their favorite artists. Since then, more than 3 million people have used it to discover nearby events. But great live music isn’t just about the artist you see—it’s also about where you see them.

Starting today, Spotify listeners (Free and Premium) can follow their favorite venues, discover new spots nearby, and explore upcoming lineups, all without leaving the app. Plus, the Live Events feed now has a fresh new look, with smarter recommendations and daily updates that make finding the next concert easier and more personal than ever.

A concert feed that’s always in tune

While Concerts Near You updates weekly, the new Live Events feed refreshes daily, surfacing the most relevant concerts in each listener’s area, from this weekend’s intimate gigs to just-announced global tours. It brings together what listeners are streaming, where they live, and the genres they love, all in one personalized destination. When a listener follows a venue, it’s saved to their Library and easy to find, alongside tailored suggestions for other venues they might enjoy.

A new stage for live music, right inside Spotify

Once listeners find a concert they’re interested in, they can just tap through to the event’s official ticketing partner to complete their purchase. They’ll receive a confirmation with all the event details and can return to Spotify anytime to revisit the event page or explore more concerts. With more than 20,000 venues listed worldwide, from iconic arenas to beloved independent clubs, Spotify is helping fans connect to live music wherever they are.

Meanwhile, AI Playlist—now in beta in more than 50 markets—lets you generate custom playlists by entering a unique prompt into the chat.

For example, you might prompt AI Playlist to “create a reggaeton playlist for chillin’ by the pool,” or ask DJ to “play hot new releases for a day at the beach.” Whatever your mood, your ideal summer soundtrack is just a request away.

Discover live music near you

Nothing beats the energy of a live show. With Concerts Near You, a new personalized playlist that updates every Wednesday, you’ll get 30 songs from artists performing nearby, plus event details and ticket links right in the app. (This feature is also available to our Free users.) Just make sure your location is up-to-date in the “Live Events” section, and you’ll never miss a chance to turn a summer night into a memory.

Take your music anywhere

Headed off the grid? With Offline Backup, take your summer anthems wherever you go—no downloads or Wi-Fi required. This feature creates a unique playlist from your queued and recently streamed tracks so you can keep the music going whether you’re flying, hiking, or relaxing on a remote beach.

Fine-tune your listening

With our new user controls, it’s easier to make every playlist and listening session feel just right. Adjust your track list preferences with Add, Sort, and Edit; guide your session with a refreshed Queue; and use the Hide button to temporarily remove tracks from your recommendations so your music always fits the moment, all summer long.

If you love diving deep into your saved music, curation is now even more intuitive. In the U.K., U.S., Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and South Africa, you can filter your Liked Songs by genre and tap “Make this a playlist” to instantly create custom mixes from your favorites.

Our New Concerts Near You Playlist Makes It Fun and Easy To Discover Touring Artists

Spotify listeners love discovering new artists and songs, but they also love finding out when they can catch their favorites live in concert. That’s why today we’re rolling out Concerts Near You, a personalized playlist that helps you discover upcoming concerts in your area. 

Inspired by your listening habits, Concerts Near You is updated on Wednesdays with 30 songs from artists performing nearby. Concerts Near You gives users access to full event details and ticket links directly from expandable track rows in the playlist. And since live music is better with friends, both the playlist and the event info listed within it are easily sharable, so you can plan to attend a concert together.

“There’s nothing worse than realizing that your favorite artist played your town last week,” said Charlie Hellman, Vice President, Global Head of Music Product at Spotify. “Concerts Near You solves for that. This new playlist not only makes it easier for fans to find shows nearby, but it also gives artists a powerful new way of selling more tickets and filling venues with the audiences who love their music most.”

  • Make sure your location is up-to-date via the “Live Events” section of the Spotify app. 
  • Have push notifications turned on to receive reminder messages for your favorite artists. 
  • Follow your favorite artists on the app to get their latest show updates.
