RADAR’s 1,000-Artist Milestone: Rachel Chinouriri, Zimmer90, and More Celebrate With Spotify in Berlin
RADAR, Spotify’s program for emerging talent, recently hit a major milestone: supporting more than 1,000 artists since its launch in 2020. Around the world, RADAR artists benefit from editorial support, exclusive content, and personalized marketing plans, all tailored to local music culture and audience needs.
To mark the occasion and celebrate RADAR’s global impact, Spotify brought together artists and industry professionals in Berlin on Tuesday for a night of conversation, connection, and live music.
A vibrant mix of RADAR artists from around the world were in attendance, including Rachel Chinouriri, Zimmer90, Nasser, Najm, Hasan Raheem, Jann, Jea Mira, Selin, Yoa, The Vices, Zartmann, Eileen Alister, Sofie Royer, Souly, LUKAS OSCAR, Giant Rooks, Ski Aggu, Zoe Wees, and 01099.
A highlight of the evening was a fireside chat between UK indie-pop artist Rachel Chinouriri and her manager, Duncan Ellis, hosted by Spotify’s Ruth Collett, Artist & Label Partnerships Lead. They shared stories about navigating the music industry, staying creative, and building a team, offering both inspiration and practical advice for artists at every stage.
The event also featured a Spotify panel discussion with Astrid Storm, Senior Project Manager, Global Editorial; Preston Hershorn, Global Head of Music Product Strategy; and moderator Conny Zhang, Head of Music, Central Europe. The conversation explored how Spotify’s music and product teams identify and support emerging artists, drive music discovery, and empower talent with new tools and insights for growth.

The night wrapped up with a live performance from German alt-pop duo Zimmer90, bringing the rooftop crowd together to celebrate the milestone.
RADAR in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria
With several RADAR artists from Germany, Switzerland, and Austria (GSA) taking part in the celebration, the program’s impact in the region was front and center. Here’s a snapshot of the average results for RADAR GSA artists:
-
- 25% growth in monthly listeners six months after joining the program—and nearly 30% of artists double their audiences in the first year
- 80% increase in followers in their first year
- 30% jump in exported streams, and a 25% rise in total streams in just one year
RADAR continues to grow, and the Berlin event underscored the program’s mission: to champion emerging talent, foster collaboration, and connect artists and fans across borders.
