Listeners Worldwide Crown Bad Bunny Global Top Artist for the Fourth Time and His Latest Release Takes Global Top Album
For the fourth time, Bad Bunny is the most-streamed Wrapped artist on Spotify globally, with 19.8 billion streams this year. This isn’t an editorial choice, but one earned entirely by listeners. Wrapped reflects our users’ listening habits, and every stream, playlist addition, and fan moment contributes to this year-end recognition. With this achievement, Bad Bunny becomes the first artist ever to claim the top spot four times.
Bad Bunny’s latest release, DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos, is also this year’s Global Top Album, underscoring the worldwide embrace this year of Puerto Rico’s vibrant culture and music.
How we got here
Bad Bunny first claimed the global top spot in 2020 and repeated the feat in 2021 and 2022. Taylor Swift took the crown in 2023 and 2024. This year, after the release of a culturally defining album, Bad Bunny is back at number one globally.
In 2022, we celebrated the Bunny three-peat by presenting him with a ring for each year he was Global Top Artist. This year we continued that tradition by giving him a fourth ring during a tour stop in the Dominican Republic.
A show of gratitude now and in the weeks ahead
Spotify is thanking fans around the world who helped propel their favorite artist to the top and is celebrating the moment with experiences made just for them.
In partnership with Stillz and A1 Productions, Spotify helped bring to life a short film following Bad Bunny’s Sapo Concho as he journeys across the globe and witnesses how DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos has carried Puerto Rico’s sound to fans around the world. Watch the film below:
This isn’t the only place fans will see Sapo Concho. He’ll pop up in multiple spots on the Spotify app. Top fans may receive a special message from him thanking them for listening this year. And be sure to keep an eye on your play button when playing or pausing any DeBÍ TiRAR MáS FOTos track.
The celebration continues off-platform as well, with fan experiences in San Juan, Paris, Mexico City, Bogotá, and Madrid, where Bad Bunny’s music never stops playing.
Additionally, as part of our long-standing commitment to supporting the next generation of musicians and industry professionals, Spotify is partnering with Good Bunny Foundation and Rimas Foundation to launch The Mobile Academy, which will bring musical resources, training, and dedicated scholarships to students across Puerto Rico.
What this says about the world’s listeners
This four-time achievement isn’t just about one artist’s success. It’s about the global nature of today’s music audience. Spanish-language music is reaching fans everywhere. Regional genres are moving onto the global stage. The borders are gone.
What comes next
Wrapped is a snapshot, but the story continues year-round. Every stream is a vote. Every playlist is a signal. Whether it’s a debut artist or a global icon, the next top artist will be decided the same way: by Spotify listeners.
