Go Inside the Global Celebrations for Spotify’s Biggest Wrapped Yet
2024 Wrapped
This week saw the release of 2024 Spotify Wrapped, and we’ve been celebrating our biggest Wrapped to date with global influencers, fans, artists, media, and more.
U.S.
In Hollywood, we hosted “Spotify’s Wrapped Universe” at nya EAST, which featured electrifying performances from Kesha and Normani, and a special early-2000s-music DJ performance by HAIM. The event boasted immersive genre experiences that reflected some of the biggest trending moments of 2024, including electro pop, rap/hip-hop, and Música Mexicana.
Guests included FINNEAS, St. Vincent, Bishop Briggs, Victoria Justice, Marissa Bode, Tana Mongeau, Landon Barker, Anastasia Karanikolaou, Lennon Stella, Nia Sioux, Olivia O’Brien, Brett Neustrom, and Emma Norton.
Samsung also hosted a live activation that featured customizable merch, and a content capture studio showcasing the impressive capabilities of its Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 200MP camera and Nightography.
U.K.
We invited fans in London for a two-day Wrapped takeover of the Outernet. Giant screens encouraged passersby to display their own Wrapped. Close to 500,000 people moved through the space, resulting in a lot of excitement. Artists Sophie Ellis-Bextor, LeoStayTrill, and Rachel Chinouriri, Peter Crouch and Abbey Clancy, hosts of the podcast The Therapy Crouch, and hosts from The Receipts Podcast were there to take in their Wrapped results, as well as influencers like Chloe Burrows, Bel Priestley, and Brookie and Jessie.
Argentina
We opened the doors to Casa Spotify Buenos Aires for a larger-than-life playground to highlight our biggest moments of the year. Emilia Mernes, the first female to take the top artist spot in Argentina, and Luck Ra, whose single “HOLA PERDIDA” was the most-listened-to song of 2024 in Argentina, delighted the artists, creators, podcasters, and influencers in attendance.
Mexico
We toasted Wrapped at a party in Mexico City where we revealed Mexico’s most-streamed artists. We even projected a video onto one of the city’s landmark buildings, Torre Latinoamericana, featuring those artists—Peso Pluma and Kenia OS, plus the country’s most-streamed podcast, Relatos de la Noche. Kenia OS surprised guests with an appearance, thanking fans for making her the most-streamed female Mexican artist. AI DJ Livi served as host for the night.
Indonesia
For the second year running, we announced Indonesia top lists via a live broadcast, “Spotify Wrapped Live Indonesia 2024,” on local broadcaster RCTI. Then we celebrated in person with more than 800 people and performances by UK artist Henry Moodie, K-Pop artist CHUNG HA, Xdinary Heroes, Indonesian artists Bernadya, Sal Priadi, and more. There was also an intimate dinner that included a live performance by Teddy Adhitya.
Thailand
For the first time ever, we introduced “Spotify Wrapped Live Thailand,” a live broadcast in collaboration with one31 media network with more than 800 guests. During the event, we unveiled Thailand’s top lists and hosted performances from Butterbear, Jeff Satur, CHUNG HA, imase, Xdinary Heroes, and more.
Australia
From a BRAT-themed photo station to Short n’ Sweet-inspired cocktails, our event in Sydney with influencers and media was the perfect way to look back on the fun, music-focused cultural events of the year.
India
Media, influencers, artists, podcasters, industry players, and select Premium Spotify users gathered for a top lists reveal. Attendees were treated to a performance by Vishal Mishra, whose “Pehle Bhi Main” from the Bollywood film ANIMAL was the most-streamed track on Spotify locally in 2024.
Italy
In Milan, we hosted the second edition of “The Podcast Era,” a full-day live podcast summit event featuring panels, live podcasts, and talks with more than 800 podcasters, influencers, media, partners, and advertisers—all of which included the underpinnings of Wrapped themes.
Sweden
In Stockholm, we hosted an intimate dinner at Spotify HQ with 45 up-and-coming podcasters. Hosted by Karin Bäckmark, our Head of Podcast, Nordics, the event was the perfect way to celebrate the medium’s newcomers. Swedish artist Darin also treated guests to a live performance.
South Africa
In Johannesburg, attendees were treated to dinner and a set of performances by top Amapiano artists including Nkosazan Daughter, who was the most-streamed female artist in South Africa.
Africa and the Middle East
We’ll be bringing together local artists, influencers, and media for Wrapped events throughout December in Kenya, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Pakistan, and Nigeria.
